Celebrating the 50th anniversary of Studio 46 and honoring Joan Barbará, in collaboration with Bluewave Alliance and SICNOVA, we present the limited series Escucha, a collection of 50 engravings on paper inspired by the temporary exhibition ArtMED: Art for Marine Conservation, organized in collaboration with Bluewave Alliance powered by ISDIN, on the occasion of the 37th America’s Cup in Barcelona.
The engraving represents a female figure holding a seashell to her ear, and is a joint creation by artists JJ Walker and Juliana Plexxo. The image evokes the sound of the internal flow of blood, perceived when holding a seashell to the ear, which is often compared to the sound of the sea. This concept conveys a clear message: we must collectively listen to the sea and commit to its health, renewal, and well-being.
At the event, works by some of the artists who participated in the ArtMED exhibition will also be on display.
