Barcelona, September 2024 – On September 9, the solo exhibition “Surrealism Meets the Sea” by British artist JJ Walker opens, curated by Martin Sky. The show, organized by Studio 46 Barcelona and Martin Sky Art Management, in collaboration with Bluewave Alliance and supported by ISDIN, will be on view until September 21 at Port Olímpic, marking its first artistic exhibition and opening a new chapter as a cultural reference space.
SURREALISM BY THE SEA
In “Surrealism Meets the Sea”, JJ Walker presents works full of life, rich in symbolism and social commentary, where the sea and nature become metaphors for the human condition, with all its light and shadow, contradictions, and challenges.
The pieces, visually and conceptually striking, address topics such as the environmental crisis (Hybrid, Dance of the Bees) or the struggle against power structures (Clockwork Kings II), always with a surrealist, humorous, and deeply human approach.
Furthermore, all works will be authenticated with SmartStamp, an innovative biometric scanning system that provides each piece with a Digital Biometric Passport, guaranteeing its authenticity in the global art market.
