"One of the most representative phrases of business and political ideology in Mexico is “he who doesn’t cheat, doesn’t advance,” reflecting a shark-like mentality that prioritizes individual goals over collective well-being. This issue impacts the collective psyche not only in Mexico but globally. In response, I created a work that promotes community, unity, and collaboration. Inspired by an Indigenous artist from San Juan Chamula, whose creations fund local projects through a self-management system, I reinterpret this artwork to express neo-Mexican humanism with the new mantra, “he who doesn’t share doesn’t advance.” This message highlights the essential role of solidarity in achieving progress, inviting reflection on the importance of building a future centered on the common good, and fostering prosperity for all."
