Jarrón con Flores is a still life tribute to Joan Barbarà, created by his grandson Om Barbarà. This work is much more than a simple still life: it is a piece laden with emotional and artistic significance — an intimate conversation between two generations of artists. Om Barbarà completed it in 2015, starting from a composition begun years earlier by his grandfather, Joan Barbarà. With sensitivity and respect, the grandson recovers that unfinished sketch and transforms it into his own work, keeping the master's essence alive.

At the center of the image stands a softly contoured ceramic vase, from which several flowers emerge. Among them, a vividly pink flower stands out — a symbol of tenderness and affection — while on the left side of the composition, a yellow lily offers a vibrant counterpoint, associated with light, renewal, and vital energy.

To the left of the vase, a wine glass evokes celebration, and to the right appears the barely outlined silhouette of an empty bottle — a subtle presence — suggesting absence, memory, or the unfinished. This tension between fullness and emptiness, the visible and the implied, constructs a visual narrative charged with contained emotion.

The mixed media technique allows Om to play with textures and transparencies, creating depth and movement. This Still Life Tribute not only honors the legacy of Joan Barbarà but also reveals the artistic maturity and poetic sensibility of his grandson. It is a work in which art becomes a bridge between generations — a testament to affection, continuity, and shared creation.
